Who We Are | Moorpark Chamber of Commerce

Since 1915, the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce has been welcoming visitors, new business owners, families, and many others to the great City of Moorpark. Our goal is to provide outlets and organizational meetings for our members and to other interested members of the community in order to make Moorpark a better place. By learning what works for certain businesses, and by observing and studying other cities’ business climates and adopting what they do well and incorporating those tactics and policies, we believe that we as a business community are well prepared for the technologically-based economy that America is rapidly headed towards.

The Moorpark Chamber of Commerce adheres to a belief that a community is only as successful as the people living in it are. Fortunately, we have one of the best communities in Southern California!

The Moorpark Chamber of Commerce has fostered a positive relationship with the local government of the City of Moorpark: from lobbying efforts, to holding forums and committee meetings, and even sponsoring and organizing candidate debates and state of the city addresses — we strive to promote the community as much as possible by building up the local economy by working with city officials on pro-business policies and legislation. We work hard to foster an environment where businesses and families can thrive and be successful.

The City of Moorpark is comprised of 4 councilmembers and a mayor. Moorpark also has a City Manager who works directly with the council and the mayor.

The City of Moorpark has been consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in the United States, and the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce and city officials have strived to keep it that way.
